Hi! my name is Olivia, I have recently finished my final year of studies at Otago University completing a Bachelor of Performing Arts and a Masters in Secondary level Education. I have started teaching performing arts at a local secondary school. I am very passionate about performing arts and love to both perform, and to teach and choreography for various companies around Dunedin. My passion for working with children stems from my Mum who has an Early Childhood Degree. I love to help children achieve and conquer goals, both personal and those set for them by others. It makes my entire day to see a child feel proud of what they have achieved when they set their mind to a task.
Qualifications and Specific Work Experience:
I have experience working with both small and larger groups of children through volunteering to run dance programmes with local primary schools, choreographing the Otago Gang Show in both 2017 and 2019 and working closely with Denise Henderson and Bridget Telfer to run their respective dance and singing studios.
